Story of Nalwanana Efulasi

Sight has been restored

Nalwanana Efulasi was born in 1948 and is married to her husband Samwiri Watengeri from Bumbo, Namisindwa district.

She had poor vision for about 3 years. Madam Efulasi’s vision gradually reduced until 5 months ago, when she completely lost sight.

Due to poor vision, she was unable to do any domestic work and had been sitting at home, specifically indoors.

During our World Sight Day event, we came across her and we examined her. To our surprise she was diagnosed with bilateral cataract.

We sponsored the cataract surgery which restored her vision. Our interventions left the family happy and joyous.
